When I first arrived at Sushi S the first thing I noticed was the decor, the dining room was really spacious and I like how they have their logo on the wall with a nice rock background. I was greeted by the server with a smile 🙂 and was then seated at a large booth.
The menu is packed full of the usual sushi staples, California Rolls, Dynamite Rolls etc. But when I try out a new place I like to see what the servers there suggest. I mean they know best, since they work there. The first item we chose off the Menuwas the Popcorn. If you look at the picture below, it is kinda like Popcorn shrimp with a Japanese twist, served Salad Style. You get 2 Large Prawns with Avocado, Cucumber, Crabmeat and Deep Fried Spicy Scallops. Looking at the picture again is making me hungry!
Red Dynamite was up next, which had Prawn Tempura, Avocado, Cucumber and topped off with Spicy Tuna; you get 8 pieces with an order. Pardon the pun but I have to say it was Dyn-O-Mite!
The next item, I asked our server what her favorite was, she said it was the Volcano Roll, this had Prawns, Aparagus, Crabmeat, Avocado, Cream Cheese topped off with some Spicy Tuna Sashimi. It was also served looking just like a Volcano. Looked really cool as you can see by the pic below.
For you Salmon Lovers we order the Seared Salmon, one bite of it will leave you craving for some more.
As you can see at Sushi S Presentation is everything, they say Sushi is an Art, since appearance is just as important as taste. Sushi S sure does take this into account when preparing their dishes. Sushi S opened about 3 months ago now, and has been gaining in popularity ever since. If your looking for a good new Sushi Place in Burnaby to check out, give them a try I’m sure you will be delighted.
